Outside the busy summer months the historic 17th century house makes a perfect backdrop for a two or three night family get-together or re-union with friends.
Downstairs, the oak panelled drawing room, dining room, large well-equipped kitchen and sitting room offer ample space for everyone to have their own space to relax.
Houchins sits at the end of a private road amidst the wheat fields of north Essex. It is close to numerous footpaths so a hearty walk starts from the doorstep – no need to get in the car.
Less than one hour from London by train and close to Stansted airport, Houchins is easily accessible to anywhere in South-East England, yet it sits quietly in its own haven of tranquillity.
