We can’t quite believe it’s been 10 years since we opened the doors to our first wedding and that over 750 couples have married here!
In the summer the grounds of Houchins are the perfect backdrop for a languorous afternoon relaxing with family and friends in the sunshine. So to celebrate 10 years of weddings we are throwing a Garden Party with live music, food & various entertainment around the garden and we would love you to join us!
Music. Relax to the soothing sounds of live music sets starting from around 2pm with wonderful Three Mile Hill, fantastic DJ Stephen Meier & the fabulous Sister Sax.
Food. Graze on a selection of different ‘street food’ in and around the wedding garden offering a delicious choice including pizza, BBQ & strawberries & cream throughout the afternoon. Ice cream will also be on hand to keep everyone topped up & cool with a delicious selection of ice creams.
Drinks. The Houchins Bar will be open all afternoon offering the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until 7pm.
Garden Games, Giant Jenga, Crazy Golf and other garden games will be available to amuse young and old alike.
Entertainment. Keep your children busy with supervised kids games & face painting.
In February 2014 construction started on the conversion of a redundant barn into a stunning cedar clad wedding venue. By December 2014 we held our first wedding in the newly restored house and venue. Since then we are proud to have held just over 750 weddings and events!
